My name is Olivier K. F. Ballo, a specialist in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology, and Gastroenterology, with a strong academic background and extensive experience in medical research and clinical practice.
From the beginning of my medical studies, I have been deeply engaged in scientific research. My doctoral thesis at the Department of Medicine II at the University Hospital Frankfurt, where I analyzed the gene expression of SOCS proteins in leukemia cells, significantly shaped my scientific expertise.
Following my studies, my professional career led me to the Department of Medicine II at the University Hospital Frankfurt, where I worked as a medical associate and actively contributed to clinical practice and further medical training. Additional qualifications in Emergency Medicine, Palliative Care, Nutritional Medicine, as well as Hematology and Oncology, have expanded and deepened my medical expertise. In 2022, I obtained my habilitation, qualifying me to teach Internal Medicine.
In 2023, I took the step into private practice as a co-owner of the Ballo & Böck Group Practice in Offenbach am Main. At the same time, I assumed the leadership of the Center for Palliative Medicine at the Frankfurt Red Cross Clinics and also serve as an attending physician at the Maingau Clinic of the Red Cross.
My clinical work covers a wide range of specialties, with extensive experience in palliative care as well as the treatment of oncological and hematological patients. As a physician, I place great importance on holistic and compassionate patient care and continuously strive to expand my knowledge and skills to provide my patients with the best possible treatment.
